Brian Jane-ology


I felt a blog coming on all day long, but was really unable to settle on a single topic. Then I read this “survey” my sister posted (almost four years ago) on Facebook. I felt like divulging a little information, so it’s one of those posts.  Ignore this one if it’s not your bag of tea.

1. What is your salad dressing of choice? Blue Cheese

2. What is your favorite sit-down restaurant? Hmmm… So many to choose from. Chima, currently?

3. What food could you eat every day for two weeks and not get sick of? Sandwiches!

4. What are your pizza toppings of choice? Black olive and Mushroom

5.What do you like to put on your toast? Nutella. Butter & black cap jam. I like toast. 🙂

***********TECHNOLOGY***************

1. How many televisions are in your house? 2. Only 1 is actually watched. The other one is in Daniel’s room, and is used by the boys to play video games.

2. What color cell phone do you have?  Black. It’s cracked.

4. Have any idea how many Megahertz your computer has? 3.20 GHz (had to look this up)

***************BIOLOGY******************

1. Are you right-handed or left-handed? Lefties are besties 🙂

2. Have you ever had anything removed from your body? Had a couple ingrown toenails. Oh, and a back surgery where they removed the ring around one of my discs.

3. What is the last heavy item you lifted? Heavy trash bags full of wet coffee grounds at work.

4. Have you ever been knocked unconscious? no, but I’ve passed out a couple times. Once, when I was in my early teens, and my sister farted, I ran down the hall holding my breath.

1. If it were possible, would you want to know the day you were going to die? Nah. I’d just get all annoying and maudlin.

2. If you could change your name, what would you change it to? I wouldn’t. If I were forced to, uh… this is still a pretty stupid question. WHatever they forced me to change it to. Probably #811650 or something

3. Would you drink an entire bottle of hot sauce for $1000? A thousand? Sure. Probably a hundred.

1. How many pairs of flip flops do you own? Zero. I only own 2 pairs of shoes, incidentally. It’s a guy thing.

2. Last time you had a run-in with the cops? about 2 years ago, I was pulled over for expired tags. Not really a run-in.

3. Last person you talked to today? Judi. About dinner.

4. Last person you hugged?Judi

1. Season? Fall. Spring

2. Holiday? Ones with lots of food where other people do the cooking.

3. Day of the week? I like them all. Days off are particularly good.

4. Month? I like months, yes. September is a good ‘un.

1. Missing someone specific? Hmm. My family in Oregon.

2. Mood? Thoughtful. Silly. Attentive.

3. What are you listening to? Nothing. Daniel is watching “Mythbusters” in the living room.

1. First place you went this morning? To the bathroom. Then I dropped Judi off at work (at 4:45 AM… It’s a sickness…) so I could get to work by 5 AM.

2. What’s the last movie you saw? I can’t think of one. I’ve been watching the Ken Burns “Jazz” documentary. Ohh. Wait. Office Space.

3. Do you smile often? yeah. It scares the spiders off.

1. Do you always answer your phone? I almost never answer my phone. I despise talking on the phone.

2. It’s four in the morning and you get a text message, who is it? Dawn Vilas or Susan Hockema. They’re the resident night owls.

3. If you could change your eye color what would it be? Viridian.

4. What flavor do you add to your drink at Sonic? I’ve never been to Sonic.

5. Do you own a digital camera? Mine was lost, or maybe stolen, January 2012.

6. Have you ever had a pet fish? No, but Alexander did. it was a betta named Miyamoto, after the famous video game designer Miyamoto Shigeru. Daniel often annoyed Alex by calling the fish Quasimodo.

7. Favorite Christmas song(s): O Holy Night. O Come o Come Emmanuel.

8. What’s on your wish list for your birthday?A digital camera to replace the one I lost. Plane tickets home.

9. Can you do push ups? Push UP. Singular. Maybe.

10. Can you do a chin up? Underhand, possibly. Overhand, not since I was a Junior in high school.

11. Does the future make you more nervous or excited? Not really.

12. Do you have any saved texts? AutoSaved? Possibly.

13. Ever been in a car wreck? I was in a doozy around December of 2000. I even got to ride in an ambulance.

14. Do you have an accent? Yes. Porcupine.

15. What is the last song to make you cry? Dueling Banjos.

17. Have you ever felt like you hit rock bottom? It’s been a long, LONG while, but yes.

18. Name 3 things you bought yesterday? Eggs, bread, milk.

19. Have you ever been given roses? Don’t believe so. Nobody go out of your way or anything 😉

20. Current worry? I seldom worry.

21. Current hate right now? People who pull the wings off butterflies.

22. Met someone who changed your life? Of course.

23. How will you bring in the New Year? Well, I’ve got 8 months to decide on this one. I’ll probably be asleep by 9:30 or 10 PM

24. What song represents you? Side by Side.

25. Name three people who might complete this? I really doubt any would read through all this, let alone duplicate it themselves.

26. Would you go back in time if you were given the chance? Sure. How about Paris, in 1914.

27. Have you ever dated someone longer than a year? Yeah. JooThann and I dated from September 1991 to June 1993 (when we got married)

28. Do you have any tattoos/piercings? I had both my ears pierced. It’s been a long time since I wore any jewelry in them though.

30. Does anyone love you? EVERYONE loves me 😛

31. Ever had someone sing to you? Lots of family members.

32. When did you last cry? 2006? :S can’t remember.

33. Do you like to cuddle? YES!

34. Have you held hands with anyone today? Last night.

36. Are most of the friends in your life new or old? an odd mix. Mostly old… but we got reacquainted after a decade (or two) of being separated

37. Do you like pulpy orange juice? Really? the last question is going to be “Do you like pulpy orange juice?” The answer is I can drink it. Orange juice is expensive. I would rather buy and drink something else.
